Gram Bharti Amrapur

Grambharti are engaged in a number of activities. Grambharti with their activities spread the thoughts of Gandhian Culture. Here Sarvoday Mandal whose goal is same as Grambharti and complementary to each other is practiced in reality. One of the festivals is "Gandhi 125" which is celebrated since 1995.

It was celebrated with great enthusiasm in sarvoday mandal as well as in the Institution of khadi and basic education. The workshop is arranged for the students and some adhyapaks of rural universities of Mahesana District in Grambharti. The selected workers provide guidance. The canvassing literature of Gujarat Sarvoday Mandal is obtained.


Student's Labour Bank:

Here student's labour bank has been established so that the student's studying in the institute can earn money by labour with pride.


Students Scheme of double earning of labour:

According to this scheme, the students, studying in the institution and having economic need gets the labour value from this by performing labour in different departments like agriculture, gardening, gaushala construction, etc. of the institution.


Old Students Association:

The old students Association has been established in 1963 in relation to maintain the family relations of the institution with the students who have studied in the institution and to get guidance for study-service and occupation and with a view that the students communicate with the institution.


Student Services Co-operative Society Grambharti:

This society is functional from 1-7-1971 to provide necessary educational needs, and things for living of students studying in the institute. Students and staff workers conduct the society practical training and experience of the social reconstruction subject, cooperative activity and administration.


Educational placement and centre placement programme:

For educational placement-programme, the students of the third year go for one month in the higher post basic schools with chhatralayas situated in the state.For placement at the centre (internship) the students are allotted to the centres, related to their main subject for one month, such as the farms of the progressive farmers, gaushala, cow-breeding centres, co-operative dairy and the voluntary institutions of rural development.


Special Workshops:

As a part of their curriculum, the students of the first year get the direct experience of the region, its agriculture and cattle rearing and its public human life in the workshop of tribal region acquaintance for 10 days. The students of the second year are acquainted with the various aspects of rural life workshop of 10 days and they undertake the tasks such as cleanliness, hygiene, creativity etc.


Visits:

With a view to being complementarity to classroom teaching and practical teaching, the visits are arranged according the subjects of the students of all the three years to various agriculture centres, dairy, banks, co-operative societies, Panchayats, ideal farms, gaushala etc.


Training classes:

The preparatory classes of various types are organized before goingto internship for block-teaching, tribal-region workshop or rural workshop, an interview or a visit for advantage of equipment operation is achieved. Over and above this, the training classes are organized for 1 to 10 days according to the class and level of the students in the field of environment &alternate energy, bio-gas, animate agriculture, furnace, toilet, rural development and in various other fields. The students get the advantage of its environment, management and experts.


Survey:

The survey is useful for understanding and solving the problem. It is undertaken from the point of view of rural service. The surveys regarding the improved fireplaces, socio-economic condition of the persons having camel cart, the health of the children of the primary schools, local technological knowledge of farmers, cattle rearer and rural craftsmen etc. have been undertaken.


Cleanliness and Health:

Culture of cleanliness is there. The need for toilets-urinals is seen due to ravines. The path or education and adult education is adopted for the insistence of cleanliness and good habits. The task of addiction-relief and health development is performed by the rural meetings. The first-aid box is kept for ready services. Ayurvedic Hospital is started in the institution.
